Spinach Dip

This is one of our favourite appetizer recipes.  It has stood the test of time as our families have enjoyed this dip for a few generations!! It has bacon and cream cheese, need I say more??

½ Cup Mayonnaise
2-8oz or 250g cream cheese softened
1 Cup grated medium cheddar cheese
10oz or frozen chopped spinach(thawed and squeezed dry)
6 bacon slices cooked and crumbled
½ Cup chopped onion
2 teaspoon dill weed
¼ teaspoon garlic powder

Beat mayonnaise and cream cheese together until smooth. Stir in remaining ingredients.
Hollow out a round of sourdough bread and scoop spinach dip inside. Wrap in aluminum foil and bake in a 350 degree oven until warmed through, approximately 45 minutes. Cut a baguette into bite size pieces. Once dip is warmed, place on a large plate and arrange bread around bread bowl.
