BEST TACO DIP EVER

This is our first recipe on our blog. We chose this recipe specifically because of it's crowd pleasing effect. This recipe has been in our family for over thirty years. This is is an excellent appetizer to bring or serve at your Easter gathering. HINT: Do yourself a favour and have a few copies on hand as your guests will definitely be asking for one.

1 1/2 Cups or more Medium Cheddar Cheese (finely grated)

Here is what you will need....

Chop the bacon and cook on medium heat until crisp.

In your mixer combine softened cream cheese, sour cream and garlic powder and beat until smooth.

Spread cream cheese mixture into a 9 - 10 inch pie plate or favourite serving dish.

Spread the salsa over the top of the cream cheese mixture.
Spread the green onions, tomatoes, green pepper and bacon bits on top of the salsa.

Spread the green onions, tomatoes, green pepper and bacon bits on top of the salsa.

Serve with your favourite brand of taco chips. Chill the dip if not serving immediately.

HINT: This dip is so good you may want to make two, one for yourself and one to serve to your guests.
