Tasty Chopped Salad

This is a delicious salad that has become one of our favourite "go to salads".

6 to 8 cups chopped romaine lettuce
1 medium pear, chopped
1 medium apple, chopped
1 cup dried cranberries
1 cup chopped candied pecans
8 slices thick-cut bacon, crisp-cooked and crumbled
¾ cup. feta cheese, crumbled (or a mixture of feta and Parmesan, grated)
Lemon Poppy seed Salad Dressing (use your favorite store bought or your own recipe)
Balsamic Vinaigrette (I like Newman's Own Light Balsamic Vinaigrette)

In a large bowl, combine the lettuce, pears, cranberries, pecans, bacon and feta cheese. Combine 70 percent lemon poppy seed and 30 percent balsamic vinaigrette. Drizzle generously. I use approx. ½ cup. If you prefer your salad to have more dressing or would like to change the combination feel free to adjust.

Chopped the romaine lettuce
Use about 70% of your favorite store bought Lemon Poppy Seed salad dressing or your own homemade.

Use 30% of a balsamic vinaigrette. I use Newman's Lite.
I use 1/2 Parmesan cheese and 1/2 feta.
Crumble fry the bacon
Add 1 cup of dried cranberries
Chopped 1 cup of candied pecans or add whole.
1 medium apple, chopped

One pear, chopped

Combine all the ingredients to the lettuce and serve.
