Hot Taco Dip

 This is a popular appetizer in our family. Warm, gooey, cheesy and a little spicy.
Serve with taco chips.

Ingredients:
1 lb. (454 grams) ground beef
½ cup chopped onions
2-3 cloves garlic, minced
½ green pepper, chopped
1 package taco seasoning
8 oz. or 250 grams cream cheese
¾ cup salsa
1 ½ cups cheddar cheese, grated
taco chips

Instructions:
Brown ground beef in a frying pan. Drain off excess fat. Add onions and green peppers. Cook until soft. Stir in garlic and cook for one more minute.
Add taco seasoning, cream cheese, salsa. Stir until combined.
Add 1 cup of cheese, stir.
Pour into a oven-proof dish. Sprinkle with remaining cheese.
Bake in 350 degree oven until cheese and meat are bubbling.
Serve with taco chips

Add onions and green peppers. Cook until soft. (you can substitute red peppers)

Add garlic, cook for one minute.

Use your favorite brand and heat!

Add taco seasoning, cream cheese and salsa.

Stir in one cup of cheese. Combine all ingredients. Pour mixture into a oven-proof baking dish. I used to aluminum pie plates.

Bake in a 350 degree oven until the cheese is bubbling and golden. Serve with taco chips.
