Naanzas (Indian Pizza)

Who does not like Naan Bread? Who does not like Pizza? This recipe combines the flavor of both. You must try and you can thank us later!! OMG

Ingredients

  • 2 Naan Bread (we like President Choice - Superstore naan’s)
  • 1/2 a 500 gram jar of  Rogan Josh Cooking Sauce (Pataks or President Choice)
  • 1 chicken breast, skin removed and thinly sliced
  • 3 tablespoon Rogan Josh Cooking Sauce (Pataks or President Choice)
  • 1 tablespoon low fat yoghurt
  • 1/2 red onion, sliced
  • 1 red pepper, sliced
  • 100 g (3½ oz) mozzarella cheese, grated
  • Oil
  • grated carrot and cilantro for garnish

Directions
(makes two Naanza's)

  1. In a bowl mix together the Rogan Josh Cooking sauce with yoghurt.
  2. Add the chicken and mix well - cover and allow to marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, if you have time.
  3. Heat a some oil in a frying pan, and  add the chicken and allow to cook for 5-8 minutes until both sides are nice and brown. You can either cook the whole breast and slice after its cook or slice before. If you slice before lower the cooking time.
  4. Once cooked through, add the onions and peppers and cook for 2-3 minutes  before removing from the heat.
  5. Lay the two Naan’s on a parchment lined cookie sheet and top with Rogan Josh Cooking sauce then add the toppings.
  6. Sprinkle over some grated cheese and place in a preheated oven for 7-10 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven and garnish with grated carrot and cilantro.

* Josh Rogan sauce is a mild and slightly sweet Indian sauce.
** This recipe doubles or triples well.

Combine these two ingredients for the marinade. Try and marinade for 2 hours but if you don't have that much time no worries.

In a bowl mix yogurt and Rogan Josh Sauce and marinade chicken breast in fridge for up to two hours.(you can either marinade whole breast on slice)

For two servings place chicken breast in hot pan and fry for about 5 - 8 minutes. Remove and slice in to bite size pieces.

While chicken is frying slice some red peppers, red onions, cilantro, carrots and grate the mozzarella cheese

Add the red onions and red peppers to the pan with the chicken and continue to  cook for about 2 - 3 minutes.
Let cool slightly

Heat oven to 425 and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and place two naans on sheet

Top each Naan with the Rogan Josh sauce

Add the chicken vegetable mixture

Top each Naanza with mozza cheese

Bake for approx 5-7 minutes or until the cheese is melted

Garnish with grated carrots and chopped cilantro and serve YUM!!
