Lindsay's Key Lime Pie

The first time I made this pie was for my daughter Lindsay's 28th birthday. She is not a dessert gal but loves this pie as it is slightly tart and with the sweetness of the whipping cream its just a perfect combination.

Root Beer Ribs

These ribs are awesome!!!!! I got the recipe from Ted Reader, a professional grill king. These ribs take a little prep but are well worth it. The flavours are complex and make you want to keep coming back for more. Our family licks these up in a New York minute!!

Orangesicle Cupcakes

If you love the taste of a creamsicle than you will love these cupcakes. There are several versions of this recipe out on the web. I made these for a potluck dinner recently and everyone really liked them. They are not overly sweet.

Beergarita's

Many years ago I went to Kimball Lake in Saskatchewan and I purchased a cookbook at the campground and gave a copy to my sister. She had us over one afternoon and made this recipe from the book and even though the thought of beer and tequila mix together did not really sound very good, she assured us to try it and we ended up drinking a couple of batches. YUM!!!! Take our word for it you must try it once!!! The perfect afternoon camping cocktail!!!

Chili Lime Chicken Wings

Our families love chicken wings and it is a staple at most gatherings. We recently tried this recipe and it was a hit with all of our family members. We think it is a nice change from hot wings.

Crowd Pleasing Potato Salad

This is our favourite potato salad recipe!! We have been making this recipe for many years and whenever we serve it we get compliments. My husband will eat it alone as a meal or a late night snack. The secret ingredient is the sweet mixed pickles. This is a great make ahead salad. Perfect for hot summer days.

CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE DOUGH BITES

I made these the other day along with a tray of other goodies. I told the five teenagers that were at my house that these were cookie dough dipped in chocolate and in a matter of seconds they gobbled these up. If you want to get really creative you could drizzle white chocolate or dip in coloured sprinkles etc.

Light Brioche Hamburger Buns

I have tried many hamburger bun recipes but all too often they are just a big disappointment. They are usually heavy and dense and just too filling. The buns that are available in the big grocery stores are equally disappointing, hard, crusty and full of preservatives.  I love a hamburger bun that has a nice light crust and is soft  on the inside, like you find in a 1950's style diner. In my opinion this bun meets all of the requirements. I lightly butter the buns and then toast them on the grill or in the oven before filling with all the fixings. Yummy!! This is a easy recipe even for the first time baker. I have also made hot dog buns using this recipe and they are excellent!! Making homemade buns takes your burger or hot dog from ordinary to extraordinary.
