Sweet and sour Red cabbage
This is an excellent side dish, it has sweet and tangy flavours. It is easy to prepare and holds well in a covered pot for several hours until ready to serve. It is also great reheated the next day. I recently made this side with Beef Bourguignonne and pork tenderloin and it was an excellent side.

Best Darn Spaghetti Sauce
I have tried many meat sauces over the years but I always go back to this one. I usually double this recipe and freeze for later use. You can never, ever, ever have too much spaghetti sauce in the freezer. You can use it as the base to make lasagna or chili. At this time of year I usually use fresh tomatoes instead of canned dice tomatoes. It gives the sauce a fresher taste.

Apple Crisp with Toffee Sauce
This is comfort food at it's best!! What sets this apple crisp apart from other recipes is the light cream mixed into the apples and the warm toffee sauce drizzled over top, delicious!!!!

Ultimate Mashed Potato Spring Rolls
There is a Canadian television reality show called "Recipe to Riches, in which home cooks from around the country compete to have their recipe become a President's Choice product at Superstore and a grand prize of $100,000. This is the recipe that we submitted. Even though it did not get selected these are super delicious and can be served as a appetizer or side dish. Don't let the spring roll wrapping detour you. They are really easy to work with.

Crab Cakes
These are awesome crab cakes. Crispy on the outside and flavouful and moist on the inside. Served with a tasty aioli dip. This recipe was created with our good friends Dave and Sherri while on vacation on Vancouver Island. We had leftover crab from one of our big feasts and decided to make crab cakes. We were camping and so we had to use what we had available in our trailers and this is what we came up with. The only problem with this recipe is that there is never enough!!!
